Despite the fact that the author repeats himself a couple of times, this is one hell of an analysis. I love the fact that Mickey Stevenson himself responded favorably as well. Is this guy published anywhere?

I saw Martha and the Vandellas "perform" this on American Bandstand when it was their current release and immediately went to our local record store in Marquette, Michigan and purchased it. This is my favorite of their many hits.

Learn something new everyday, i didn't know that the vandellas didn't sing on this classic,great song and article.

I love this tune and again have learnt something new but I have them doing this on The Mike Douglas Show...certainly Vandellas singing it on that clip along with the hand claps...also have them singing this on American Bandstand...sadly as much as I would love to share it for all to see I can't but here is a picture I took from the clip....got skirting around one of their legs.

Fascinating reading inside The Jet...at that time...says 'My Baby Loves Me' was at number 27 in the national charts and still rising. Hopefully Dick Clark's Company will one day release several of these clips on dvds for everyone to buy & watch..surely they would make a lot more money than the odd clip appearing on a TV Show?
