    Motown - At Last

    It's finally here ----
We depart Manchester, bound for Detroit & Hitsville tomorrow morning.
In town for a week and staying at the Hotel St Regis ........

Planning on visiting United Sound Studios, if we can organise a tour and of course Hitsville, which goes without saying ........

Taking in a ballgame too, which will be a first for me.

Anyone know of any other "must see" sights while we're there and do any locals want to meet up for a beer etc ........

Folks more local than me will be able to tell you whether there is still a Motown exhibition at Dearborn.

Not a local, however, the Henry Ford Museum exhibit is long gone, history. I would suggest a trip to People's Records. I just googled them to get their address, phone number, etc. and I see where they have moved near the Eastern Market to 1464 Gratiot Avenue, 313-831-0864. A trip to this record store would be enjoyable. I would call first to confirm that they have in fact moved and their hours. www.peoplesdetroit.com

No! The Motown "Black & White" Exhibition is currently on display at the Detroit Historical Museum on the second floor. It's great:

mysterysinger, that exhibit you are referring at the Henry Ford Museum was 21 years ago in 1995. It was great too, but has long been removed.
