Vocally, he may not be quite as distinguished a stylist as others in The Temptations, but Otis has a good singing voice here....

    Love those stage moves

I really enjoyed this performance. And that stage jump at the beginning has to be seen to be believed.

The Tops always sang from the heart and were enthusiastic movers, but The Temptations excelled with their own choreography and stage presentation....

Those moves... I like Otis' voice. Kinda reminds me a bit of the late Bobbie Smith of the Spinners [[just a teeny bit lol).

I always liked this track from their 'House Party' set but didn't realise it was Otis on lead, perhaps because the lead vocal is quiet in the mix. This live version is more uptempo and could have been a bigger hit if released like that. The stage performance is certainly up there with the best but I suspect the single failed because the Tempts were planning to leave Motown.

According to otis,he hated this album although i personally like it but i can see where otis is coming from,by the mid-seventies the temps were not a prime consideration at motown.

Thanks for that clip theboyfromxtown. Never saw it even though I've been a Tempaholic since I was 12. Thank you too, Marv.
