I adore that song! Good omen for your weekend.
A great Motown song. Never get tired of listening to it :-)
A little rehash from a posting I did last year:
Here's a great video by video master Docludi--
This time out featuring Herbert 'Whitey' White's WHITEY'S LINDY HOPPERS from the 1941 film HELLZAPOPPIN' with the addition of Tammi Terrell's 1966 solo version of TWO CAN HAVE A PARTY--written by Harvey Fuqua, Johnny Bristol, & Thomas Kemp:

And a SPECIAL BONUS:
Swing Bud Films production of a video tribute to dancer Frankie Manning--
"FRANKIE MANNING: AMBASSADOR OF SWING"

Thank you, Docludi, for pointing out this terrific video by Swing Bud Films. And, of course, for the ones you've created.

Most of M and T's bigger hits tended to have a sweeter sound to them, but I liked it when they went for the "stomper" song, such as this one and "Give In, You Just Can't Win."
I've always loved Marvin & Tammi's "Two Can Have A Party". IMO, I think it would have made a great single -- stronger than "If I Could Build My World Around You".
Love this song by M&T
Their best track for me. The Tammi solo version is fine but Marvin's vocal takes it to another level.
