    "I'm So Thankful"

Just finished listening to the Ikettes' "I'm So Thankful" on YouTube and found out that it was written by Frank Wilson & Marc Gordon [[Jobete).
Just wondering if it was ever recorded by a Motown act. Thanks!

It was also re-worked with different lyrics and title [["Sweeter As the Days Go By") and recorded by Chris Clark.

The Four Tops' version of "Sweeter As The Days Go By" was completed before the release of "I'm So Thankful", so it's difficult to say which song came first. Though the two songs have strong similarities with each other, I think that's just because they share the same composers. I've never considered one a reworking of the other.

I learn something every day in here. I had never heard the Tops' version of
"Sweeter" before today, when I found it online. It predated Chris's version by two years and it sounds like her version used the same instrumental track. I still think it and "I'm so Thankful" are so close that they might as well be the same song.
