    I agree. So many Beatles songs worked well as cover versions, and of course The Four Tops had history in covering old tunes and making them their own. "walk away renee" and "if I were a carpenter" immediately spring to mind. This was a lost opportunity in my opinion.

    He did that with every song he covered including Reflections, If I Were A Carpenter, Walk Away Renee, MacArthur Park, etc.
