Wonderful news. I hope it becomes a much bigger hit. Mary deserves it for all the hard work she and her team have put in. Delighted for her.

Yes it was. I have a copy. It was sold as an import. Mary played it several times on her radio show for WWRL in NYC.

I'm wondering where they are getting this information from. I checked Billboard's Dance Club chart and Mary isn't listed on there.

Not taking away anything from Mary, but the November 7th chart of Billboard Dance Songs came out yesterday and Mary is not in the Top 25.

I don't understand today's charts. Mary may have the fifth most added song by dj's or a # 3 breakout record, but that doesn't mean that she is actually on the charts - yet. But it is an indication that she has a possibility of getting on the chart soon.

Again, this is only my impression of how today's charts work. Nevertheless, it is still quite an accomplishment and Mary fans and Supremes fans should be proud that she is on - or at least near to getting on - any Billboard chart.

That posting about Mary making Billboard was posted on Facebook late last week. Does Billboard really chart things two weeks in advance? I just don't know where they are getting their information from since there is nothing on Billboard about Dance Club breakout and club add singles.

GREAT NEWS! Mary Wilson's single "Time To Move On" has hit the Billboard Dance chart! Apparently the numbers should show up for the week of November 07th!

From the time and date on that post, the person must have been given inside info as to what would be on the following weeks charts. But it did not happen. With music now dropping on Friday instead of Tuesday, Billboard has changed its system. Now reporting for the charts runs from Friday to Thursday. So the charts ended on Thursday, Oct 22d, info was compiled on Oct 23d and is usually released to the trade on early Monday and published on Tuesday as the week ending November 7th charts. The charts were available yesterday publicly and Mary is not included in the Top 25 Dance Club Songs.

But it is still great that it is one of the five most added songs by djs and that it is breaking out.

Yes it it is and club people but music so it could make the chart next weeks or so. It could be a Thanksgiving or Christmas hit.

    fondly.

They should have released it on CD at the same time to increase sales. Why on earth do you say the CD release? Sales are sales! A poor business plan. This has nothing to do with Mary's talent or our appreciation and love of her.

Surely someone is not making this up? Are you guys saying they are saying it's on the charts and it's NOT??

Billboard used to be available in advance a week or so as I recall.

Any chart achievement of any nature by any Motown artist at their ages now would be a treat and an accomplishment.

But people shouldn't make them up.

    "Here she sits, brokenharted -
Got some adds, but hasn't charted."

With my limited knowledge of the workings of BB/RW/CB charts, I know that break outs and adds occur at least a week before charting - sometimes longer, sometimes never. I remember a Marvelettes single being a breakout hit and only bubbled under. With the number of adds and some additional momentum, Mary could easily chart Nov 14 and I think it will happen- Diana hit #1 or #2 in '94 with her Someday remix - that's older than Mary's tune.
