Happy Birthday to the Iceman, Jerry Butler

Jerry is 71 years old today.

I've always been partial to "For Your Precious Love," but what's your favorite tune [[or tunes) with Butler on lead?

My favorite Jerry Butler tune? It's a tie between "He Will Break Your Heart" and "Only the Strong Survive." Both went to number 1 on the R&B charts and made the top 10 on the pop charts.

Ironically, I found the Suite for a Single Girl LP at a thrift store day. Darn-near perfect condition for 50 cents. It was almost like Jerry's birthday present, on his birthday, to me

GT, you must be reading my mind, "Strawberries " is a killer.......slow, deliberate, heartfelt....like JB himself...excellent choice.
