Michael Jackson's brothers have found a replacement. According to the Guardian, Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Jermaine will reunite for their first performances since MJ's death, with a Japanese pop star filling in for him.

Two "tribute concerts" will go down in Tokyo on 14-15 October 2011, featuring Japanese pop/R&B star AI. She's a big star in Japan. Her last record featured guest spots by Snoop Dogg, Boyz II Men and K'Naan. The Guardian says that if all goes well, the shows could be spun into a world tour.

"I thought [it] would be great to sing and dance with the people who were around Michael, especially his family," AI told CNNgo. She's also set to record new material with the Jacksons in early 2011. "We haven't talked about the kind of song yet, whether it will be for Michael or about us," AI said, "but we think it will be nice to have one of the producers that Michael used to work with."

The Guardian points out that 2 or 3 previously planned tribute concerts failed to get off the ground. So far there are no details about this one.

Now personally, I think it would be a better idea for the Jacksons to tour with El Debarge and have him fill in for MJ. But it would make sense for a female replacement! Especially considering the songs were mostly done by a young child.

Let's face it, the Jacksons' day in the sun is over. They could've been like the Osmonds when Donny left and they carried on [[same with Michael when he left). Problem is they think they can pull off what Michael pulled off and they can't.

What they should do is ask Donny. The trouble is that he'd probably say no; he has a more legitimate career than they do.
