You know, Jai, that is exactly the kind of thing I've been hoping to see for a long time
now. As time passes a lot of people seem to forget how big an impression cats like the
Moments made on the scene back then. I would hope someone would do this and include
a thorough history of the group in the notes but it seems the problem is interest. As you
and I both know, it was more than just Smokey, Eddie K and Motown...

hey splanky great minds think alike[hehe]but on a serious note these guys were great and maybe they didn't have the monster hits in terms of sales but for song quality and pure singing they were right there with the best, folks may not know songs like[disco man-lady in blue-the good ol days-thrill friends-happy anniversary-take it to the limit]just to name a few but these little known songs are all quality soft soul from the lovemen of soul!!

For what it's worth I produced the last 2 [[and only) Ray, Goodman & Brown compilations.
    This one: http://www.amazon.com/20th-Century-M...2214474&sr=1-1

    And, this one: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Ray-Goodm...2214474&sr=1-2

Buy, one of those- and get this Moments compilation and you'll be happy until the eventual Moments/RGB Anthology does come out: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Moments-L...ref=pd_sim_m_1

Just last month I pitched as a co-prodution between my current label and another unnamed label a 3 or 4 cd box set. For now it's not happening, but I never give up. And if I dont get it done- hopefully someone will.

Great idea, I was just listening to their Polygram LP "Stay" last night........I had put together my old Technics turntable and needed an album to test her out.......and so "Good Old Days" did the trick and I wound up listening to the album in its entirety.......plus I would have put this thread on the main page......lol...
