Surface: Underrated, but certainly not under-appreciated

Surface, a group I really like, grooving to them on YouTube right now. Just a lot of excellent songs. I really enjoy that smooth 80's/early 90's smooth soul:

Surface was one of the better underrated groups of the late 80's. They made the best of the "totally electronic" soul music sound ,that was prevailent after the eventual elimination of "REAL" horns and strings brought on by the technology of MIDI and DIGITAL recording and mixing. Mainly on the strength of the writing of the songs ,which still had some soul to it. Just my opinion.

There should be an UNSUNG about them...never heard the detail behind the death of one of the groups members...
