Hi Calvin - Believe me, I understand, and I agree whole-heartedly with everything you're saying. Like you said, it makes no sense whatsoever that the owners of the master-tapes would resort to remastering from a vinyl source when they could -- and should -- be using the real thing. Now, if they had no other choice due to a damaged master-tape, I would be more understanding and certainly grateful, but until I hear that that's the case, I have to seriously wonder. But, heck, Calvin -- who are we kiddin'? Personally, I'm not strong enough to put my foot down and ban my future purchases of Motown product. When I see the release of a new Motown CD reissue on a label that's famous for vinyl rips, I cave and fold like a cheap tent for fear that it may be my last and only chance to get it on CD. I guess there's nothing we can do but grit our teeth and roll with the punches, hoping for the best. - Gary
