Best of the Non-Motown Girl Groups [[Hits and Obscurities)

I'm putting together a playlist of Non-Motown girl groups [['60's), but I want to expand my collection and check out other groups and other recordings. What are some songs, albums, or possibly obscure girl groups you consider to be important, underrated - both the obvious ones and the more obscure? I would add some of the recordings done by Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles on the Newton, Cameo/Parkway, and Atlantic labels.

    For example,
    DOWN THE AISLE
    YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
    DANNY BOY
    I BELIEVE
    ALL OR NOTHING
    OVER THE RAINBOW
    I'M STILL WAITING
TAKE ME FOR A LITTLE WHILE
    PRIDE'S NO MATCH FOR LOVE

I vote for Chicago's own Lovelites! There are too many of their ongs to mention but these ladies had harmonies that rivaled the Emotions. They were active from about 1967 to the about 1975

The "Lovelites" have blown me away. Fantastic harmonies. It is unbelievable that their CD compilation is long out of print. Hopefully whoever owns their masters can re-release it.

Yes I love the Shirelles with the hits and rarities. Mary Wilson sounded like she had the voice do sing lead on some Shirelle songs. I wonder where Roddie Joy is?

Interesting that you mention that Steph. Here Mary is in "Beehive" singing the Shirelles, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow"
