Fortunately, I am over 16......
Fantastic value at £30.93 to see the brilliant Bettye. Contrast that with the price of seeing the Ojays in London, refer to my forum posting on that matter.....
Have a good time at the show! Bettye is a MUST see! I always see her when she's in town. I think I've seen her four times now...
Bettye Lavette did an interview with Tavis Smiley on PBS a couple of years back which has to be the most honest, forthright conversations I have ever witnessed?
The lady is a true survivor.

Love Bettye! Kevin please tell Bettye "Hello... Jimmy & I send our love and best wishes.
Jimmy played the Jazz Cafe a couple times about 12 and more years ago.

Her book is also a page turner and very honest. What a story.
I must second that emotion.....about all of her interviews
As a sophomore, my granddaughter had an assignment to do a special kind book report [[it was almost like a journal or diary) about someone in the same artistic field. Unbeknownst to me, she chose Bettye's book for her report. I wasn't Real happy with her choice....but cat outta bag.....and she got B+.....best grade in that class all year.
