    Quick Mary Wells Mention On Tonight's "Mad Men"

    Nixon just took office so Mary's "Motown" days were behind her. Did anyone else catch it? I don't want to spoil for those who haven't seen and are regular viewers because as passing as it was, I'd have to divulge the context!

    Not to dash anyones hopes but they were referring to this Mary Wells who was the biggest female advertising exec in the 1960's.... see below...

    This actually makes more sense although it is a slightly obscure reference for the casual viewer. Also, as I said given the year, I'm not sure our "Mary Wells" would have been on the tip of the characters' tongues as she might have been say...5 seasons ago!
