Howdy Mr. Wood!!
Howdy Mr. Wood!!
Thank you John! Would have said 1969, but wrong as usual! ;o)
Yes, I think I remember meeting Geoff. Welcome to Nightflight Geoff! It's great place to spend a Tuesday evening. And you won't find better company.
I was thinking the same thing, Gregg, that if Miss Ross wasn't on Humphrey's initial schedule that she could be added later. That's common with Humphrey's, I think the first time she played there she was an add-on.
Will be lurking in the shadows for the last hour of this brilliant show. Enjoy the rest of John's show everybody. John, thank you for all the pleasure you bring to us every week. Laterz!!
BTW, I heard [[for the first time) a song sung by Tammi Terrell that I first thought was an Amy Winehouse tune. It's titled "I Will Marry You". What do you think about it??? Here's the link:

"I'm In A Different World" by the Tops?

Fantastic Four came from Golden World
Many thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated. I knew one of the experts here would be able to tell me something.
Such a great two sided Marvin & Tammi single....
I think Love Child is the 45 I played most - it's no longer black - it's like off-white!
One of my top 5 ever!
PS Geoff says TY to Johnny for the welcome and hello all!
Berry's mix of Love Child sounds like a different vocal take.
Sounds like Mary and Cindy on the b-side
I also am VERY impressed with how Miss Ross squeezes in all those words. I think one reason she was so effective in the studio with HDH was her ability to make whatever they gave her - regardless of time - work without sounding laborious. Ask Any Girl, There's No Stopping Us Now, Love Child all would give any vocalist a day and she nails them all. It's her innate rhythmic supremacy!
One of my very favorite B side of the Supremes, "Will This Be The Day".
Folks....you've created a wonderful show for me....thank you all so much...you mean so much to me!!!! Have a great week....and as Martha says....Bless you!
Goodnight John & All..........John are you going to any of Miss Ross' shows?
Great '68! Thanks John. Thanks everyone. See y'all next time.
