    Pete Seeger.....

Clipped on the tube this morning and the first story to come up was the passing of folk singer/activist/song collector/all around good guy Pete Seeger at the age of 94.

    Very sad news indeed.

Major Icon! Pete Seeger, even if you did not know who he was as a person you knew and probably sang the songs he made popular. I know as kid we all did in school, summer camp and sometimes at home. Rest in peace Mr. Seeger.

His songs influenced a generation, and he was iconic enough to have this thread on the main forum IMHO.

Thank you for the music, Pete Seegar, and all you said through your song writing. May you Rest In Peace...
