Many thanks grapevine for this link! I have collected releases on the Black Forum label, but never knew any of the insider news shared on this remarkable BBC program. Makes you wonder why this kind of programming wasn't originated in North America. Those savy Europeans were always ahead of the musical curve. Now if only someone would step up to the plate and shed a spotlight on the Workshop Jazz subsidiary of Motown.
