Well John, my chestnuts are roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost is, ah, nipping at my nose and my stockings are all hung, by the chimney with care. See you and the gang for Christmas Eve with Nightflight! Merry Christmas one and all.

Wasn't Bruce Johnston the singer? He was a touring Beach Boy, though never an "official" Beach Boy, I think.

"Billboard Top 40 Hits" lists only Pete and Vinnie, refering to them as "pop singing/songwriting/production duo from New York".

I'm thinking of another record then. I think Bruce Johnston had a surfing record on his own before becoming a sometimes Beach Boy. Let me check Wiki...

Okay I guess he was involved with several lesser known groups but none had a big hit. I guess I always thought he was the singer of "New York's a Lonely Town," but I was wrong.

    Thanks for the clarification guys.

Yes, love the Carpenters! They made the most beautiful Christmas LPs. Her version of "Little Altar Boy" is heartbreaking considering her sad life and how it ended so soon. But the albums are joyful for the most part.

Kenneth you are so right about "Little Alter Boy", but then Andy Wms version kills me too!

Linzer/Randall and Bob Crewe wrote "Goin' Places" for The Orlons. Crewe also produced the song, along with the b-side "Knock! Knock! [[Who's There?)". Charlie Calello arranged both tracks. Too much information?

Wow...hard to believe that was from '68. The arrangement sounded very current. I had no idea it could be that old of a record. Thanks for letting me know.
