I remember Barbara Mason. I believe she is from Philly, but she never recorded for Motown.

Well Robb_K .. "From His Woman To You" is an anagram of "I has you from Motown" .. maybe that has something to do with it?

I love Barbara Mason! She was on Arctic label out of Philly and produced by Jimmy Bishop. Later she recorded for National General label before going with Buddah. But her sound stayed the same as J. Bishop was always involved. We saw her perform in April 1968 with Jackie Wilson, Impressions, 5 Stairsteps, Peaches & Herb, etc. with Gorgeous George as MC.
