    It was G959 and their 2nd album in January 1972.

    Me too Johnny. For some reason that "Face To Face With The Truth" turns up in France quite often in their funk soul sections.

    I think "Face to Face" was their best LP. I loved the instrumentation and the backgrounds. Also, the long extended version of "What it Is" was astounding. I remember listening to the whole LP with those old, clunky head phones on...probably when I was on something stronger than a cocktail at the time...

    Agree so much with those that want the first album out on CD. Why has it been overlooked for so long? Mind you, FTFWTF wasn't a Motown CD issue either! There were a couple of interesting albums in this funk series if I recall.
