What is this Mary?
Sounds like it came out of the Bridge Over Troubled Water and It's Time To Break Down Era.
Perhaps this is an unfinished project from the "Promises Kept" sessions. There are no backing vocals. The song itself is quite good and Mary's performance fits the mood. Anyone have any more info?

The person that put this and the other video up list the recordings as being from 1969 which would lead me to believe that they were done while preparing for the "New Supremes" first album together, the "Right On" album.
Wow-love it!! Definite hit potential!!
....and ZERO Andantes......! LOL!!!
They've already started "remixing" it. Check this out:
Wow Marv--how did Mary get thru it without the Andantes? And it sounds great!!
The keyboards in this song are mesmerizing. And Mary does this REALLY good. I still think Mary should have taken half the leads right out of the gate in 1970.
This tune should have definitely been included on "This Is The Story."
Very interesting - quite unexpected. They should have featured Mary Wilson much more - instead of keeping her talents hid. But then again with Diana leaving at that time - Motown could not feature Mary Wilson in The Supremes - showing the world she was just as talented as Diana - they ALL were.
Motown it appears was not the best place to be. How Mary Wilson survived that hell hole is remarkable. Even Diana called Gordy "..and instrument of unbearable darkness"., in her Secretys of a Sparrow book.
I missed the train on this one too - it has also been removed. Booooo
Does anybody have this recording they could share? It's been removed from youtube and would love to get a copy
I have it. Wasn't there another one that was up on youtube ?
Just looked in my downloads. The title of the other one was "If You Let Me"
got these on cassette, but have no way to upload them anywhere. seems like this was sent via another offer from the old 70's club. the club memories are about as old as these songs are. "If you let me" is the same song as the 4 Tops. there are still many unreleased 70's songs from this time period. plenty for a "lost & found" set someday. or even releasing a few on another cellarful or treasures cd.
well the song seems to be gone alreadt.darn.
anybody got a copy to send me?
Me too [[send me a copy) it was 2 songs by the supremes with Mary on lead [[unreleased)

Redlabs I have sent the video file...two of them
Mark wants me to convert a video file to an MP3 file. Does anyone know how to do that. Usually, I download from youtube and then the "Convert" comes up . But I'm foxed how to do it otherwise.
My loyal helper is busy today.
This program will convert an FLV video to an MP3 file.
http://www.smallvideosoft.com/flv-to-mp3/
I've used it and it works well. Although it says it's free, it has a limited number of uses before a dialogue box comes up asking you to pay for the program.
I was about to suggest
http://www.video2mp3.net/
but you beat me to it
I think this is unlimited though
John, here's my e-mail: perham_snabela@hotmail.com
Appreciate it!
Thanks for the files.
After everyone gets the files, you should edit your e-mail address out of the posts.
i am having trouble getting mine to play. ? thanks anyway, david
Best way I have found to convert FLV to audio is www.zamzar.com
It will convert it & email you the link to download.
You will have to install an FLV player software - they are free - do a search for FLV players
