I saw Nancy Wilson on Soul Train today!

Aired Nov. 1974 - [[how the hell did I miss THIS one?) And I got goosebumps watching and listening to her...I thought she looked and sounded simply amazing! Now I need to go find my mama's albums by her and see if we still got a good needle on the "vick-troler" [[1964 Magnavox steree-oh), LOL!!

Saw the Mighty Clouds of Joy too! - didn't know they had ventured into secular music...Those dudes looked ever so sharp!

And Johnny Bristol - you coulda sold me for a nickel....I was all up IN the tv...Good thing Mr. Gzu was out in the garage....He already caught me snappin' my head to "Kung Fu Fighting"...

I should come home from work early more often...

That was a memorable Soul Train episode. I have it on my DVR. On that show, Nancy Wilson performed songs from her album All In Love Is Fair. It's one of my favorites. Of course, I'm a Nancy Wilson FIEND, fan whatever. I love her! Forum member Splanky is another Nancy fan. Don't nobody better say nothing bad about Ms. Nancy or I'll just lose it!

She's great! She is also Mary Wilson's best friend and is from Ohio.

Women like Nancy, Dee Dee Sharp and other great artist never seem to get the recognition they deserve. Even here in this forum. She truly is perfection.

I think Nancy is finally getting the recognition she deserves: the last 12 months saw a lot of her old Capitol and Columbia albums [[re)released on cd!

Nancy has longgggggg been treasured by her NY/NJ wbgo listeners. As Kam said I am a
huge fan. A lot of both yesterday's so-called divas and today's singers could use a major
crash course in style and class from Ms. Wilson...

I know Mama was a HUGE fan of hers, and I remember her playing her albums when I was a kid back in the 60's, so watching her on ST really took me back....

The last time I heard her was on a jukebox in a bar after work in the late 70's, singing "Guess Who I Saw Today", and it dam near blew me off the barstool...I'm also amazed at how beautifully she's aged..I hope I'm that lucky when I get to be her age...

These so-called "dvias" of today need to learn how to take a few pages out of her book...They might learn something...
