Hah! Reminds me story that my sister's co-worker told her. He played football at Ohio State under Woody Hayes. One day a bunch of his teammates were playing around in the study room when Woody came in on a rampage, screaming that they needed to start taking that time seriously. Jerry, I think that AB has issues with everything when AB is not the center of attention. I'd bet some $$ AB was pissed that his fellow players voted for JuJu as their MVP......not to mention JuJu's quick ascension into a category of "an extremely good WR." Both AB & JuJu had all those catches [[a rarity of 2 WR's on the same team). I also never see AB perform too much community work whereas JuJu commits to Meals on Wheels, kids, etc

Ryan Clark had very choice words for Brown last night. He said that he advised the GM that he would regret giving Brown a max deal because he had already displayed me-first diva tendencies before he got it. Clark said that Pittsburgh has to get rid of him because he doesn't embody the team-first virtue that the franchise has maintained for decades and threatens to be much more trouble than he's worth.

Personally, I am 100% on LeVeon Bell's side. Not that I would appreciate it if it happened to my team but I understand why he did it and respect him for sticking to his guns in spite of pressure from everywhere. He's going to get a deal that makes up for it in Indy and they're going to be the Patriots 2.0 for the next five years. Plus, he's a homeboy so I want him to do well. AB makes me really appreciate Julio. With that said, a bunch of Falcons fans were clamoring and suggesting that we needed to cut Julio since he missed training camp in order to get more loot. Compared to Antonio, I'd let the team garnish my check if it meant we could hold onto Julio. His attitude is as welcome as his stats.

My dad was upset when the local CBS station was trying to strong arm his cable company into paying more than they wanted to. He was venting until I plugged in an antenna and he was able to watch the network offerings without cable. Heck, I don't have cable and I can watch every NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL game for free. And most NCAA basketball and football games.

I've been watching the Clippers the last couple of weeks. Trading Gortat was a boneheaded move, especially since they cut Rivers anyway. Trading Oubre was especially stupid because Phoenix is actually playing a whole lot better with him. He had 26 against the Nuggets on Saturday night and looked like he was on fire. Remember about five years ago when Dallas and Detroit were playing and Detroit was winning in the fourth quarter. Stafford threw a pass to a tight end who was grabbed by a linebacker before the ball arrived. Ref threw a flag but another official who was 20 yards away ran up, they had a big discussion and changed the call. Detroit punted and Dallas won the game late. It was Detroit's first playoff game in 20 years and the last time they made the tournament. These things happen and it's just one of those things that NFL fans have to accept.

Don't want him in Boston. And rumor is he doesn't want to go there. Nobody knows if Kyrie is going to be in Boston, New York [[or Brooklyn) or L.A. and Davis apparently doesn't want to go if Kyrie is going to be gone. Besides, they can't trade for him until June and if New Orleans gets a good deal before then, it won't matter where he wants to go. Personally, I don't really care where he goes. Just hope he lands where he wants to.

They're going to get a second all-star next summer to join LeBron. They might be able to get a third if they trade for Davis instead of get him as a free agent in two years. If they trade for Davis, they're going to lose most of their young talent and at least a couple of first round picks. I don't see them being able to max out Davis and Kawhi or Butler or KD or Klay and then being able to put a decent roster around them.

By the way, people are suggesting Magic Johnson trade Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma to get Anthony Davis. New Orleans already has Julius Randle who was L.A.'s center last season. Why would they trade one of the top 5 players for essentially the same bad team the Lakers had when they won 29 games last season? My money is on Boston unless AD explicitly tells them he's not resigning with them. I can see Boston offering Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and a first rounder for him in the Summer. Then again, Danny Ainge is notoriously cheap. If Boston makes it to the chip, I don't see him trading for Davis.

I don't think Kawhi wants to play with LeBron. He's the leader in Toronto and I think he likes it. If he leaves, I think he'll sign for the Clippers. I don't think KD goes to play with LeBron either. I think he's either going to New York or Brooklyn. If the Quizz didn't have $110 per year million invested in three players [[and a horrible terrible no good front office), I think he'd like to come home. But they do. So he's not.

I want Butler to remain in Philly for obvious reasons but it'd be interesting to see him with LeBron because those dudes would be slugging it out at some point. I think they have a good shot of getting Klay, especially if he wins another chip this season. Golden State is going to throw max loot at KD and they're already paying Steph $40+ million per season. If they don't offer Klay at least as much, I think he might walk on them and what better place to get back at them than in L.A., where his Pops was an all-star? Besides, the Warriors might be able to get Boogie for a decent price at the end of the year so they are definitely going to lose KD or Boogie or Klay. [[I hope it's all three, for the record.)

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see LeBron partner up with Klay and Davis. But I would be surprised if any of the others join him.

I saw him interview pre-game last night. I like Bradley Beal a lot. I'll be honest: It took a master stroke of stoopidity to have a backcourt consisting of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter and not be able to fit the pieces around to make the team good. I thought that with Gortat, Morris and Oubre you were on your way. Natural maturation of excellent relatively young talent should have resulted in a top team in the East by now. Maybe Brooks isn't that good after all.

Exactly,if they don't get beal some help i can easily see them losing ten of their first twelve games at the start of the season.Having Wall and Beal on max contracts is going to make procuring help... difficult. They have $107 million tied into six players [[including Jabari Parker, who is a team option and may not return). The salary cap in $109 million. I'd look for them to decline Parker's option but good luck in getting free agents when playoff teams like the Nets, Clippers and Sixers have loot to spare. Forget about the Knicks and Lakers being preferred destinations and having money as well. The only team that rivals the Quizards for having a dysfunctional front office is the Lakers.

I thought Hachimura would go about 5-8 picks later but he is a really good player. Humble kid with a great story. Learned to speak English a couple of years ago after coming from Japan. He's enough for me to root for you guys unless you're playing the 76ers or Nuggets. And in the second round, you guys bought a pick from the Sixers for Admiral Schofield, who was a really good player for Tennessee last season. I'm not sure how either fits into your plans but if my team got either guy, I'd be satisfied. Neither is a star but both are experienced, have a good all-around skill set and should come in hoping to contribute without believing that the world owes them anything.

Oh, they can play. But I doubt either or both together will make you much better. Not as explosive as Kelly Oubre but will have about the same impact as a third or fourth option as he had in DC [[a notch below Otto). Hachimura is power forward and may be able to play small forward, but he can't play guard. Schofield isn't as good as Hachimura but he has a good motor and will give 100%. He might need to be in the right system to stick around and he may not be a fit.

Training camp for the NFL starts in four weeks. There's hope for a good season from the Rednecks with their new QB. And don't forget my NBA team's leadership was swept away by the NBA when was losing on purpose. A plan that would have masterfully otherwise. The guy they brought in to "make us respectable again" [[Bryan Colangelo) traded first round picks to draft a 7-foot stiff that has played in Europe since then [[2016). We cut him yesterday. Colangelo also sold picks for cash and pretty much FUBAR all the progress we made before he was caught using a fake Twitter account to trash his own players. He was fired when he was found out and our new GM [[Elton Brand) is rocking the house with his decisions.

I also like the Nuggets. The Quiz tried to grab their GM, who is from Maryland. That failed miserably before they swung and missed on trying to get Toronto's GM. In the meantime, Denver has a roster full of young good players who love playing basketball. Glad he stayed put.
