Temple Recording Studios

2548 Philadelphia

The fact that this is another house-cum-recording studio speaks for itself. Again, the basement was where the action was, and it's size is quite evident from this photograph.

Dave Hamilton was the proprietor and he already had a lengthy c.v. having worked on guitar with Berry Gordy and Jackie Wilson.

By the mid sixties he had recorded a number of songs with Marvin Gaye, who held him in high esteem. He also performed on the immortal 'My Guy' and 'Heatwave' and is generally spoken of as the unsung hero of West Grand Boulevard.

From Philadelphia Street, he laid down the tracks for his Temple Record Label.
