Thanks for sharing Lockhartgary. As Otis says, we'll never forget Paul Williams.

Did Otis shed any light on what Paul Williams was going thru prior to his suicide or why he thinks that he took his own life?

All he said was that Paul “ did more harm to himself, than he ever did to the group”. So he implied that he still believes that Paul killed himself. He also addressed the comparisons Paul receives to Chuck Jackson.

I think Otis was referring to Paul's drinking in the context of harming himself... Paul was a friend of mine and I ran into him and had lunch with him perhaps just weeks before his tragic death...I detected a guy feeling really badly about himself inside, and although I have no inside knowledge, it's not difficult to wrap myself around the notion that he sadly took his own life based on that last visit...

I can only say that Paul Williams was the Temptations for me. He always put such emotion into his singing, and I sought him out when watching the group because he was so joyous when performing.

I never had a favorite Temptation as an entertainer, I think because they all moved so seamlessly together it was hard to pick one out. I loved David and Dennis' voices, though.
