What Love Has Joined Together [[which version y'all rockin' with?)

To my knowledge, four Motown acts covered the legendary Miracles composition, What Love Has Joined Together, but I wonder which version tickles your fancy the most:

    Mary Wells [[1963)
    The Temptations [[1965)
    The Miracles [[1971)
    Syreeta Wright [[1972)

    Let the choosing games begin!!!

The Temptin' Temptations version. Eddie Kendricks really brought the message home. Not to mention James Jamersons insanely unfair bass line. He represented the LA Bella flat wounds massively on that one!.

My favorite is Barbara McNair’s version from 1968. Beautiful version.

Mary Wells, ofcourse. The song was written for her and should have been an "A" side release.

I usually like the version I heard first best. No exception here, so it's Mary Wells.

While I don’t dislike the others, I really do enjoy the “reimagined” version by Syreeta [[with production by Stevie). It made a classic song fresh again at the time.

I like all the versions of the song, but it's interesting that while I am not a fan of Syreeta's voice at all, her version of it is my favorite.

Something about it is magical, isn't it? Stevie is just incredible. And I love Syreeta's multi-tracked BG vox on it.
