Billy Preston & Syreeta, Fair or Fake?

An EBay purchase from Estonia! On the Motown label [[062-64 528-2) via Hip-O-Select. 50th Anniversary Special Edition [[Motown I'm supposing). Actually a very well presented item with nice artwork. But fair or fake?

Looks fake to me since the re-release of that album hat not been announced by Harry, Andy or someone from Universal. Also on the internet you`ll find Jermaine Jacksons Motown albums which expect for his 1972 debut and "Let`s get serious" have not been released on CD. Yet someone claims they have and presents them with their front and back cover. Well done but fake.

Yes and I've also seen Jackie Jackson's album advertised. But you know there are also Japanese releases, on Motown, that don't seem to appear anywhere else on CD at the time, yet these seem to be the genuine article. Examples are Syreeta's "One to One" and G.C. Cameron's "Rich Love, Poor Love" that only recently saw release on none-Motown imprints elsewhere but have been available in Japan for a while on Motown, Spinners "Second Time Around" etc - or are these fake too?

They are the real thing. I have "one to one" by Syreeta. That particulally was just recently released through soulmusic records.

Jackie Jackson's great Motown solo album is available as a digital download on Amazon.com US. I've seen cheap copies of the vinyl album too. One just sold for about $20.00 on Ebay. Where is Estonia?

In The May Motown Spotlight By Sharon Davis she mentions that Soulmusic Records will be releasing the album of Billy Preston & Syreeta from 1981. She noted that this was the last album she worked on before parting from Motown. They wouldn't be releasing it if Hip-O Select or another Motown label was going to release it. She didn't give a date but said it would be within the next few months. So wait until they release it as there may be bonus tracks as well.

Fake, it's a russian bootleg on cd-r. I have it because I didn't think Universal was going to reissue this one.... But Soulmusic.com is. Hopefully the sound quality wll be as good as that of "One to One". It's supposed to come out in August.
