That was a huge event. It was probably the single most iconic musical moment of the '80s and absolutely presented to the world the talent that many of us had recognized for years.

was cab calloway first to use the moonwalk , sure i heard it was him but not jacko...but i am sure some good educated soul fan on here will know for sure.........

^ I don't know. I knew he glided. They said the backslide/moonwalk had been part of black culture for a long time. As far as I know though, the first recorded backslide/moonwalk was by dancer Bill Bailey three years before Michael was ever born.
