Mary Wilson at the Lonodn Palladium 1978

Does anyone have info regarding Mary's solo engagement at the London Palladium from 1978? What was her set list? Who was her backing vocalists? What did she wear?

Does anyone have an audio copy of this show? Or of Mary's US debut from 1979?

    Cheers

Tamla, I've heard the audio of the Palladium show and seen video of her entire concert debut in 1979 at "New York, New York".

It's been a while but for the London show I remember Mary singing "Love Is Here and Now You're Gone" and "The Happening" backed by Karen Jackson and Kaaren Ragland. They sounded VERY good!

Mary's solo show at the London Palladium was very good I have it on tape. She sang the songs Marv mention along with Stoned Love, Best Thing That Ever Happend to Me, Driving Wheel, Let Yourself Go, You're What's Missing In My Life, Don't Let My Tear Drops Bother You, and other's. Supremes song was 80% of her set list, and she did a good job on each number. As for her debut show I have that on cd as well and because I am a Mary Wilson fan, I will not pass that along to anyone, because imo it wasn't very good, but the Palladium was excellent imo

Bone of contention here. The show was billed as The Supremes [[or Mary Wilson & The Supremes) when she had clearly left the group just the year before with a show at a bigger theatre just down the road! The billing was what put idea's into the deluded Ragland's head. She shows agents the publicity photo when exclaiming 'I AM a Supreme'! as well as a lot of other stuff.

Any chance of being able to upload any clips?

On the tape I have they are anounced as The Supreme, Mary Wilson with Karen Jackson and Karen Ragland. Don't know what the promo stuff or marquee said. I thought that billing was okay.

This may be of interest to you, tamlaUK.

ivyfield; it looks as though Mary was billed as "The Supremes' Mary Wilson with Karen and Kaaren", not as "The Supremes" or "Mary Wilson and the Supremes".

I have two different audio recordings on CD of Mary's debut show [[one with better sound that has Diana in audience who sings briefly). Gloria Scott and Karen Jackson are the backing vocalists. Comes with original Eula poster artwork. I can swop for a copy of Mary's 78 London Palladium concert, which I don't have.

Part of, if not all of Mary's show in NYC was on youtube a few years back. I tried searching for it and it is no longer there.

Here is another advert from Mary Wilson in the UK in 1978; this time at the New Roxy Theatre [[I apologize, I don't know how to post a pic, but here is the link

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mary-Wilson-...item51a24d8288

Here she is billed as "The Supremes' Mary Wilson with Karen Jackson also Kaaren Ragland".

Still haven't seen anything billed as "The Supremes" or "Mary Wilson and the Supremes".

I attended that show in Harlesden and bought a [[rather tacky looking) concert programme. Correct me if I'm wrong but all major UK fans were there as this was Mary's first visit to the UK after the finale at the Drury Lane theatre.

The first time I saw Mary was at The Sands Casino in Atlantic City on Oct. 1, 1983. The ad in the newspaper had her billed as "Mary Wilson & The Supremes" [[The "Supremes" being Karen Jackson & Robin Alexander)
