My daughter was one of the 50 girls selected internationally this year for the BGR Queens Camp. When we dropped her off at the bus in Brooklyn and picked her up at the camp 2 weeks later, to have been in the company of a sea of young Black women who are movers and shakers locally and then to have them come together, brought a smile to my face.

While there were audience shots that included some of this years attendees, unfortunately, I felt another 30 seconds talking about the mission of the camps both the summer camp and year round camp would have been informative. Ironically according to my daughter, there were some gifted singers, dancers, actresses, and poets that we will hear from and one day and perhaps discuss on these pages.
