Thanks for linking my favorite group. I absolutely love John Edwards. I've always felt he was underrated and not given his due in his 20 plus years with the group. Very powerful voice.

Tsull, re John Edwards, in my opinion it is one of the greatest travesties in Soul music that he didn't get richly deserved superstar status. His solo work was absolutely outstanding and in truth was more to my taste than his work with the Spinners, excellent as that was. Such is the nature of the business, I hope he enjoyed a good return during his tenure with a world renowned group. I was very sorry to hear he had a severe health issue, I hope life is being kind to him.

Can't not play one of my favourite solo John Edward tracks.....

Hi, here you can hear some good ones by John Edwards solo [[12 tracks!!):

    http://saleelsoul.wordpress.com/2012.../john-edwards/

This is a blog by a Phillysound lover from Spain [[but, apart from PIR, Gamble, Neptune, ... and Philly outside productions, there is also a lot of threads and info about many soul stars from the complete spectrum from New Orleans to Detroit). Is worth a visit despite the fact is in spanish and you can do not understand there is a lot of samples of vynils that the author have ripped.

This thread mede remember me about some posts by our friend Mr. Weldon McDougal III where he explains [[and posted some pick) about some Sigma Sound Studio unissued The Spinners and Pillipe Wynne solo stuff.

    Cheers to all

Nice Spinners interview here, guys looked pretty young. Always liked the humbleness of the group, down to earth:
