    Why rip your CDs?

Everyone here knows I advocate backing up your precious and valuable CDs, and vinyl.

here's an article I discovered about the subject. It's not all techy, but gives you some good guidelines should you decide to take the plunge.

If something catastrophic ever happened to my collection, i'd like to be secure in having a backup or two.

I've ripped a few CD's to my PC only because I wanted them on my iPod.

    Best,

All this is too technical for me,ripping your cd's to your phd's from your bvd's to your md's from your ipod's to get to your lillypad's from around your dvd's and you wind up with abc's.....too much technology!!!

All it is, is copying your CDs on your computer and saving the resulting files on a hard drive and/or ipod so you can have backups and listen on the go.
