Finally. A political rally I want to attend.

It appears that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are going to have a political rally at The Mall in Washington 10-30-10. I'd sure like to go. The CNN story.....

    ....and the rally website.....

Where it says "Don't Click Here", click. It takes you to Colbert's counter rally. I'd really like to go, but which mall? We've got plenty here in Washington. Alderwood, Northgate, Tacoma Mall, Southcenter.....

Sorry for being late to the party Doug but in order to restore my sanity I had to walk away from blogs and forums for awhile

By now you may know it's the National Mall in DC and although the media is framing it as such, it's NOT a political rally...a timely and well needed rally but not political.

btw Doug, I didn't miss the comedy or sarcasm in your post but I fear the efforts of Stewart and Colbert have gone totally over the heads of many people. Rational thinking has gone the way of the dinosaur, which is pretty much the point of all of this. [[and an excuse to have some fun)

Several news organizations have sent out memos to their employees forbidding them to attend...unless they sit on the sidelines and say nothing or, they are members of the press corp.

Why would anyone have a problem with sanity or comedy for that matter? Have people become so brain dead they forget Stewart and Colbert are comedians? Rhetorical question, don't answer. LOL

Anyhoo, timely rally and brilliant satire from both these gentlemen.

Just curious Ralph. What is it that needs to be kept off of the forum?

I struck back at a totally unprovoked personal attack that came out of nowhere. That attack, and my response to it, have been zapped. Perhaps I shouldn't have replied to the attacker the way I did, but if her post was going to stand, I had to defend myself.
