Diamond Joe RIP

I have just learned via the Funky 16 corners site that New Orleans artist Diamond Joe has passed away. Whilst to my knowledge he never had any major hits, 2 of his recordings have always been big favourites of mine.

'Don't set me back' has a really unique arrangement, and I think deserves a wider recognition.

wow! i just asked about him on here a few weeks ago. i like that song fairplay, which i also heard on the funky four corners podcast. rip.
