Happy 4th of July and may God continue to bless this dear land of ours.

As you fire up the grill and jump in your pools
Watch the fireworks with loved ones as the evening cools
Don’t forget the men and women in uniform who keep us free.
So that we may all enjoy freedom that is so dear to me
If we are to continue as a nation, strong and just,
We must never forget our Lord in Him we trust.
If we turn and repent from our wicked, sinful ways
God will hear our prayers and heal us every day.

    May God Bless America!
    Happy 4th Everyone.

The day is nearly over, but I hope everyone had a very safe and happy holiday. Happy birthday, U.S.A.! Still the best country in the world [[I'm hoping that our U.K. friends don't object...).

And our friends in Canada and The Netherlands, and.............

By the way, no one mentioned "Happy Canada day", a few days ago, which was also the first day of free agency in The National Hockey league, a VERY important day!

Also, let us not forget that Bastille Day looms on the near horizon.

How small is the world when you can have hundreds of friends from every continent and never meet most of them face to face?

Truly, one day we'll proclaim that "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way..."
