Aren't some people always whining about how those people are always live off of those who do have insurance, and how taking care of these people drive up their premiums? Well, this law will end that! And, more people will be covered in case something happens to them. It's a win-win situation. The only people who will have to pay up are those who can clearly afford the insurance but won't pay for it, preferring to "use the system". This law ends that too.
The republicans and Faux news are spreading tons of misinformation and lies to turn the largely ignorant public against this law, that people who do not understand anything about it are angry about it.
One wonders if they are against this law because it takes away another one of their age-old arguments about the poor they use to rally up their troops. Another thing I find hilarious that all these angry republican/tea-bagger types are going to vote for Mitt Romney, the man who started and implemented the exact, same health-care plan when he was governor of Massachusetts, just because they don't like Obama. Hey! It's not really "Obamacare", it's really "RomneyCare"! And, from what I understand, it's about the only really good thing he did as a governor. republicans were all for it before Obama adopted it. They were actually the ones who wanted the individual mandate because they didn't like the employer mandate. But, as soon as Obama wanted it, they were suddenly against it. Why? Because their only objective has been to try to make Obama a one-term president. They have NO alternative plans, NO ideas, NO interest in negotiating. All they want is to be back in power, let the wealthy, destroy the constitution, education, and workers, let corporations run the country, and to remove that Black, socialist Kenyan with a White mother who has that deep-seated hatred of White people.
