Diana Ross’s brother Arthur “T Boy” Ross was found murdered today [[June 22, 1996), along with his wife, Patricia.

Arthur “T Boy” Ross, a former aspiring law student, was much more than Diana’s younger brother.

    Arthur “T-Boy” Ross
He had written a string of hits with legendary Motown songwriter Leon Ware during the 1970′s.

Diana Ross used her clout as the major star at Motown, to help her brother land a writing gig in 1972, which produced hits for The Jackson 5, The Miracles, Marvin Gaye.

After a falling out with Leon Ware during the recording of Marvin Gaye’s I Want You album, Arthur Ross embarked on a unsuccessful solo career, before basically retiring from the music business.

During the weekend of June 22-23, 1996, authorities found Arthur Ross’ decaying body, along with his wife Patricia-Anne Robinson, in their home in Oak Park, Michigan.

Both victims were gagged and suffocated and their bodies had been left in the house for over a week, leading authorities to believe that the murders occurred sometime in late May.

Diana Ross skipped her brother’s funeral, but sent a letter which would dread by her daughter/actress Tracee Ellis Ross.

    Diana Ross
“It breaks my heart that someone like you, with so much life to live, should be taken like this,” Diana Ross lamented. “Why? Why we taken from us T-Boy? It’s so hard to understand. Why did you make the choices that you made in your life?”

The legendary singer blamed society for the death of her brother.

“I cannot blame you for your imperfections, T Boy,” Diana Ross said. “I do however, blame this drug infested world of today.”

Two men were a eventually charged with the murders, which were allegedly fueled by drugs.

Unfortunately for Ross’ family, charges were dismissed against two suspects, due to lack of evidence according to prosecutor John Skrzynski.

RareSoul Wax Facts: Arthur Ross was nicknamed T-Boy because he was so small when he was born. Madonna reworked “I Want You” twice on her album Something to Remember.

There seems to be a T Boy Ross song at the end of the story.

I don't remember reading or hearing about the house burning but I do remember about some dogs being found in the home.

A celebrity doesn't in respect to the immediate family who would have to suffer the snapping bulbs and mike's shoved in their faces because Diana Ross is there

More than that, it's a personal choice and people have their own reasons. Mary Wilson didn't attend her mother's funeral. Tina Turner didn't attend the services for her mother either [[Ike was there.)

Diana learned long ago that if she attends a funeral, it will turn it into a celebrity, paparazzi, gong show; any relationship to a funeral would be gone. The only time it would be OK is if it is entirely private.

But here's the thing, unless there is some public announcement "DIANA ROSS WILL NOT BE AT THE FUNERAL", wouldn't the mikes and flash bulbs show up anyway, EXPECTING her to be there? And I don't think that would happen, anyway. Was there papparazzi at Ernestine's funeral? Yeah... didn't think so.

Is it really anyone business whether or not Diana Ross attends a family funeral or not?

It wasn't anyone's business when she was buying potato chips at the grocery store, but everyone was sure bumpin their gums about it. She should be glad people are interested in all that, otherwise she'd be living off of social security and clipping coupons to make ends meet.

I'm sure Diana Ross is glad the public is still interested but the constant presence of the press after 50 years can be oppressive and tedious, as well as interfering.

Of all the things a celebrity should not be picked on for, attending funerals should be right at the top.

Diana Ross had a long history of helping T Boy and all her family as well as labelmates, most of whom had little left at the end of the day. But that isn't news is it.
