Hi All,
WELDONS son called me today, told me that he was in the hospital.
Said that he was not doing to well. I called him right away.
He told me that he was alright, he was in good spirits.
They will be running him through a lot of test tomorrow.
As I hear what is going on I will keep everyone updated.

Weldon usually mentions things like this to me if something is wrong so I am praying that its not too serious. I made a couple calls to Philly to see what I can find out from some friends. My Prayers are with you Weldon.

I just re-read the original post and saw that it wasn't Weldon himself who made the call, so the concern is heightened. Will call his family for more info. Hoping for good news.

I too was missing Weldon on the forum and called him on Friday apparently before he went to the hospital. He told me he was suffering from severe Acid Reflux and had lost @ 40lbs due to his inability to eat. He asked me to mention that he would be giving commentary on the Tammi Terrell Unsung episode thats upcoming.

I'm sorry to hear this news. I had heard that you were a bit under the weather, but nothing along the lines of this.

I wish for you a quick & speedy recovery, get well soon. I'm not home now, but when I get home & get a chance, I'd like to post a pic or two that might make you smile a bit. Thanks for all of your tips & encouragement over the years, you're definitely in my prayers.

I spoke to WELDON yesterday just before he went into surgery.
He was in good spirits,and wanted me to thank you all for thinking about him.
I have not been able to make contact today, but as soon as I hear anything I will update you all.
Meanwhile keep those prayers coming.

Spoke to family member, he told me that WELDON is recovering in ICU.
The surgery went well, he is in good spirits. As soon as he is moved he will let me know
And I can relay to you. He will be taking phone calls, etc.

Ceasar; I had to jump back on here when I heard My dear friend was hopsitalized. Weldon has been such a good friend and mentor for the past several years . Yesterday, I received a call from L.C. who visited with Weldon. Weldon is aware that all of you have been asking about him & wishing him well. He asked L.C. to send word that he is feeling much better, his procedure went well & that he is scheduled to go home soon. He said that as soon as he is able to, he'll respond & thank everyone for their well-wishes, which he appreciates a great deal.
