    Quite interesting. Never realized that he had never even been on the cover of Ebony. He should have made the cover of TIME. He was definitely one of the most important figures in music period. It's sad that he was not given his flowers while he was alive.

    Thanks, I was just going to post it. The print version is impressive, it takes up half a page on the front of the Style section and an entire page inside. And yes, the woman dancing there is flat-out gorgeous!

    That was a good article and I really would have done better to make this comment when I read it last week especially since it seems like serious discussion of music and the surrounding culture seems to be vanishing rapidly lately...
