it seems hmv can deliver,has anyone got their com 4 from amazon yet.i got the free super saver [[here before christmas 2012 gig!) its taken,so far,from friday till at least tomorrow [[thurs) and amazon are saying it could be up untill 6th sept!my next order wont be with amazon unless i've got no alternative elsewhere.
i'm on the phone 1st thing tomorrow,i dont believe they've dispatched,nothing takes that long anywhere in great britain

I had mentioned this earlier but it bears repeating. I don't have my copy in hand yet, but I got the shipping notice last Saturday, and then today I got an e-mail calling attention to the fact that I was getting the exciting 2 pound price drop. And by the way, how do you make the pound sign on your keyboard? Is there by any chance a difference between American and British keyboards that prevents me from being able to do it?

I you're using a desktop with a full size keyboard, you need to have Num Lock set and use the numeric keypad - not the numbers along the top row of the keyboard. Not sure about a laptop though.

Ah good news in Melbourne as Cellarful 4 has arrived from Amazon at last. The postman delivered it at 9.30 am. The packaging was scuffed and very dirty, as if it has been at the bottom of a bag somewhere in the system. And even better news is that it is a wonderful release that I've already listened to and loved....

So I must add my congratulations to Paul and the team for yet another magnificent job that fills in 50 more gaps in Motown's history. Roll on volume 5!!

i got mine this morning [[thurs)
i'd been on the blower to amazon.my account said dispatched on friday,when i asked when did it leave the planet amazon he guy said it was dispatched the 26th!! what does dispatch mean then? answer i dont know but it was shipped the 31st!
anyway i got it!it really is what everyone has [[hmv customers!) been banging on about,brilliant its my new best mate!
some other things have improved...the booklet is great [[dont need a magnifier to read it) the track listing on the back is vertical [[not the horizontal listing where i got lost between lines!)
love the 1st pic when you open up.who's got 2,TWO barbara mcnair here i am albums albums then?
well done to paul nixon and the gang for the 50 new [[to my ears) tracks.thanks to all involved

i had problem getting the isley's anthol. when it came out,i gave them rocks on the phone,leaving the guy[[ask for a manager) in no doubt who's fault it was and i got 3 quid off!! plus express delivery free.remember it 's good to talk,if that dont work shout!

I received my copy today [[in Virginia), five business days after receiving the e-mail telling me it had been shipped. Also it was not scuffed or anything like some of you had said yours was.

I am about halfway through it so far, and the standout tracks for me have been the Four Tops song [[title escapes me and the CD is out in the car) and Martha's "Miss Lonely Hearts." I also have not had a chance to look at any liner notes or whatever, so this is just a pure guess. I am guessing that song [[Lonely Hearts) was recorded around 1967. Am I close, because it sounds like it would have fit right in with the Honey Love groove they had going on at the time?

I was sooooo looking forward to Gladys' treatment of the "The Day You Take One, You Have to Take the Other," but after playing it through twice, I can't help but be disappointed with it. Oh I guess if I had never heard the song before, I would like it OK, but the Marvelettes' version just blows this one out of the water.

There does appear to be a problem. I pre-ordered from Amazon, which keptt hedging on the US release date and a shipping date. I finally ordered from a seller in the UK, who I assume, got some of the first pressings. But Amazon.com doesn't have Cellarful 4 yet and neither does Dusty Groove, which is unusual.. I'm waiting on the postman.

They told me that the problem is with their merchant..."Starfish" ???.... or some such.
Really annoyed now as I popped into Bolton HMV and they didn't have it in....

CFOM 5 will be out before I get Vol 4 at this rate....

i wonder how PaulNixon feels about this.....nothing he can do about it , but not having it in HMV won't help sales will it.....and Bolton, whilst not being the centre of the universe, does have a number of soul fans in town.

that amazon phone number is supposed/they pretend to be in ireland.they've got that wierd american accent that non speakers pick up from english language tapes.when i asked if they were in the phillipines [[they sound like my neighbours,who are!) and the answer was a long time coming,then it was no shannon,ireland!
i used to ask the indians at BT if they were managing ok in the snow,they pretended to be in the uk,even working uk hours and make up some story about getting thru it ok.it was june!
