On "Live Snarking the Golden Globes," one snarker referred to Octavia Spencer's win as the "Hattie McDaniel Golden Globe."

He seems to be saying these awards are bought.

Something I really enjoyed besides Ms. Spencer's performance was that after she won her Academy Award, I heard very few references saying she was a black actress, and finally another win by a black actor.................that seems to be gone. Finally. She was just another woman who won an Oscar.

But I think she herself did say it wasn't going to change the kinds of roles or the number of roles she gets offered.............
