Richard Searling used to work for RCA Records in the UK in the 70's and was responsible for [[amongst other things) promoting the NS 45's [[& odd LP) released on their Grapevine label.
He later went on to help form Expansion Records and that outfit is still going strong over 20 years later. They put out loads of stuff by 'Old Skool' soul artists.

Kenny Gamble undertook a few interviews for UK radio when over here late last year.
These have now been broadcast & are available on-line ........
check out BBC Radio 2 for his interview on that station [[with Trevor Nelson I think) ... & ...
for a 2 part 2 hr extravaganza go to Jazz FM's web site & click on Robbie Vincent's interview shows.
I have listened to the 1st hour of his interview with Robbie Vincent [[which was included in a 3hr long Robbie Vincent show slot that went out at Christmas) and its GOOD !!!!
Kenny talked about his early days as a go-fer at a Philly radio st + meeting Leon Huff in the Schubert Building when they were both working for different song writing publishers. Also his early singing, recording & writing work + the Atlantic & Philly Int sessions that he actually sang on [[he was a Drell on some Archie Bell cuts, a Blue Note on some Harold Melvin & BN's tracks, etc). He also explained why the first releases on Philly Int were by low-profile artists plus many more fascinating facts.
