    Sky King......and his niece Penny

How it relates to anything I don't know, but I read this morning that Gloria Winters, who played the perky blond teenager Penny to Kirby Grant's Sky King in the 50's childrens TV adventure show, passed a week ago today due to complications from pneumonia. She was in her late 70's.

Yes my friends great show, there are still a few of us who remember......I loved the name of his plane The "Songbird", along with Jet Jackson and The Whirlybirds, they inspired me to go into the Air Force, but by the time I got there, no way was I gonna try to fly a plane....

It was more about what she did before Sky King. She played Babs Reily on The Life Of Rily for one season in 1949. She made only two guest appearances on shows right after Sky King.
