    The Spinners John Edwards RIP

It was just announced on Facebook that John died. No other details were given. He joined the Spinners after Phillipe Wynne left.

This is really sad news. John had a really hard task, replacing such a distinctive vocalist. But he did it with style. May he R.I.P.

Rest in peace to the legendary Spinner John Edwards.

Playing this in memory to him and the rest of the Spinners:

Such a great singer. In my opinion his greatest recordings were as a solo vocalist pre Spinners.

You can listen to the complete John Edwards Careful Msn compilation on Spotify and YouTube. Wonderful Aware label recordings.

Also here is the link to the only John Edwards interview in which he discusses his career with the wife of Spinner Pervis Jackson

It really shocks my mind and breaks my heart seeing members of the groups that we've known and loved throughout all these years having aged so drastically. It just seems so unreal.

I Know; I feel the same way. We've so many of our favorite artists just in the first few months of this year.

I was filling in for Walter Sterling on his show Monday night, GC came on and we talked about John as a person and his amazing talents. And a lot about GC too that I never knew.
