Lost Gem; The Crusaders & Nancy Wilson-"The Way It Goes"

    From SoulTracks.com.

When tracing the evolution of female singers from Sarah Vaughn, Dinah Washington and the great jazz vocalists of the 40s and 50s to the modern jazz and soul stylists of artists such as Anita Baker and Diana Krall, all roads run through the late, great Nancy Wilson. Physically beautiful and a uniquely gifted song stylist able to interpret jazz, soul and pop, Wilson stands among the greatest performers of the 20th century. And while many know Ms. Wilson for her solo hits, fewer may remember a delicious 1986 collaboration with the Crusaders on the song “The Way It Goes
.” It was a terrific outing for both acts.

Lost Gem: The Crusaders and Nancy Wilson knew "The Way It Goes" in brilliant collaboration - SoulTracks

Nancy was most definitely one of the all-time greats. Her recently-released box set is a true gem.
