Does anyone here know if there are any plans to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Tamla Motown label?.

There is vinyl release of a cellarfull of Motown
And CD of more Motown guys
Many Motown Legends on tour , Stevie, Diana, Lionel and Smokey
There were lots of Universal releases in Japan celebrating Motown 50 and best of all mostly in mini-LP CD format. It's sad that there was no glut of CDs from Japan for Motown 65 but they have suprised us over the years with some fine CD releases - and I expect that will continue.
As for Tamla Motown - a few years back there was going to be a TMG400 series of 45s. tantalisingly, Barrett Strong's "Money" did see re-issue as TMG402 but then zilch[[?). I surmised that TMG401 might have been "Come To Me" by Marv Johnson but maybe a person in the know might be able to say what the plans were for the TMG400 series?

Regarding the Tamla Motown label UK ...60 years ....
I've been playing every Tamla Motown single [[A & B sides) from TMG 501 in order on my Web based Radio show, which I've posted here on SDF.
I've stopped posting links to the show, as it appears nobody is interested in listening.

Motown was founded in 1959 thus in 2024 the company celebrated it's 65th anniversary. It might escape me, but what recognition was there last year in honor of it's 65th anniversary? If there was, maybe I slept through it. [lol].
