Gladys Knight, 80, Cancels Concert at Last Minute After Sudden Illness

Gladys Knight fell sick shortly before she was set to go on stage in Jacksonville, Fla., forcing the singer to cancel the show at the last minute.

Florida Theatre President Numa Saisselin announced the cancellation. He said
"Ms. Knight and another member of her staff were taken ill backstage, very suddenly and at the last minute, which necessitated the sudden cancellation of the show," and "she was smiling and in good spirits when they left the building."

Sounds like she got that flu that is going around this year. Wishing a speedy recovery

Well, that was a short sickness. Right after i posted the above, she posted on the social media that she is feeling well and will see us real soon. She has that flu that is going around and is already feeling better. Guess she did not get her flu shot

She is showing her age as well. She doesn’t look like she did a year or two ago. Perhaps it’s just the aging we all face but I know people have questioned her health

I hope she's still touring because she can't give up performing and not because she needs the money.

Sounds more like Norovirus which does come on suddenly but quick to recover. Flu comes on gradually and fades gradually. I remember years ago Norovirus was commonly called Gastric "Flu".
