Great article about Laura Lee. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks again Hekki for your work.
Heikki thanks for all of Laura Lee's Albums and 45's, I bought them when they were available early from the 6t's & 7T's , the great thing is that there is no other track's I have missing.
Superb thanks!
PS. One of her favourites is "Your Song" 45 Fantasy 865 1979 Great record.

Thank you for your kind words, Eddie!
Graham, that's a good record and for me there's more than a hint of "Don't Leave Me This Way." I also like the Dells version of the song.
Best regards
Heikki
Laura was awesome during her Hot Wax days. Lots of cool tracks then!
Hi Boogiedown!
We think alike. The first time I heard "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" in 1977 I said to a friend of mine, who was a Baccara fan, that this reminds me a lot of "Don't Leave Me This Way."
I've softened on this one ...its kind of fun.
and this lyric where she's getting annoyed with her provocateur is hilarious:
No sir
I don't feel very much like talking
No neither walking
You wanna know if I can dance
Yes sir, already told you in the first verse and in the chorus
But I will give you one more chance
get a clue pal, she's ripe and ready! hee haw!
