Is former Temptations lead singer Theo Peoples back with the Four Tops?

    From SoulTracks.com:

The Four Tops have been part of our lives for more than six decades, and they keep chugging along in 2025, apparently with the addition of an old friend.
Tops fans no doubt remember Theo Peoples, the powerful vocalist who has the distinction of serving as both the lead singer of The Temptations [including on that group’s final #1 hit, 1997’s “Stay”] and The Four Tops, where he was an integral member for a dozen years in the late 90s and 00s.

There are no Four Tops, just a tribute band.

Likely The Temptations are heading in that direction too. All it would take is for Otis to depart, for whatever reason.

    Not interested in tribute acts.

Not only "The Four Tops" were the Four Tops and that was it!

The last of the 4 Tops was Duke Fakir, I do understand that Duke wanted to continue with the 4 tops. So he had three others to keep Duke going, this was a good thing for him initially. It was a shame that he passed away in July 2024.

Sadly we lost them all, no one else should pretend to be someone else, I met all of the Four Tops several times the US, UK & Europe, There is and was only one Group!!!!

I saw the "Four Tops" cover group open for the Temptations here in Canada a few weeks ago. It was very uncomfortable watching 4 pretenders try to be the Four Tops when the original members have all passed away. I only went to the show to see the Temps.

That's interesting that you perceived they were trying to be the Four Tops. Were they possibly trying to put on a good show?

Were they trying to put on a good show? Absolutely. But they were also definitely trying to “be” the Four Tops. There is no self-awareness that they’re just a cover band. The name needs to be changed.
